How to Create Your 2024 Roadmap
Happy New Year from Goal Getter Collective! It's Carly here and I am thrilled about 2024. How about you?
As my husband and I head back to Florida today after a fantastic holiday vacation with family, I can't help but think about how great God is in our lives every day. I am filled with anticipation for what God has done in 2023 and what He has in store for 2024!
I'm sure you're receiving a ton of marketing emails today (and don't worry, I know you'll be bombarded this week) with subject lines like "new year new you" or "new year new hair" or maybe even something like "new year new routine."
As you can see, this is the most popular time of year to talk about new habits, goals, and dreams! Companies have figured out this strategy because everyone is most motivated right now to start the year off strong and finally accomplish what they've always wanted to do.
But have you ever noticed that these emails disappear after the first few months of the year? Why don't we see them in July, August, or September? Haha! Probably because people lose their motivation and interest in sticking with their goals. It's easy to lose focus after the 90 days or so.
Let's not forget about the goals and habits we set for ourselves right now or this week! I know it's easier said than done, but the time is NOW to take your goals seriously and actually follow through, even after March 2024 comes and goes!
Now, you might be wondering HOW to do this, Carly?
That's where I come in (and of course, why Goal Getter Co. exists!) I suggest you follow this simple strategy to eliminate overwhelm and intimidation when planning for the next 12 months.
Plan with the end in mind. What is your 12-month vision? (where do you want to be by December 31st)
Work backward and create four checkpoints that you'll plan for throuhgout the year to represent each quarter
Now, create three monthly milestones to achieve each month that ladders up to your quarterly checkpoint.
Then, create four weekly goals that ladder up to your monthly milestone.
Finally, map out three daily tasks that you can do to ladder up to your weekly goals.
That's it! That's my five-step process to create a clear roadmap for achieving your goals in 2024.
I’ve also got a training that I did in my Goal Setting Masterclass just for YOU on this exact framework. I’ll walk you through how to set clear goals for yourself in your 2024 roadmap to make sure that you actually stick to it all year long! You can check it out the masterclass here.
I promise that if you apply these five strategies, you won't regret it! It's truly the best way to set goals and stay committed over a 12-month period.
Here's to an incredible 2024 ahead! God has amazing things in store for you this year and I can't wait to celebrate with you!
xo, Carly Conrad

How can we make our visions a reality before the year ends? Well, all you have to do is write down three things you can do each month towards your vision. I believe that even the biggest dreams can be broken down into achievable goals that won't overwhelm you. And as we work towards those goals, the Lord will guide us and help us make adjustments if needed.
Creating a plan for your vision doesn't mean it has to be perfect or followed exactly. It's just a helpful roadmap to success. If you have to make changes along the way, that's totally okay and necessary to make your vision even better than you imagined. So here's your homework: write down three things you can do in the next month to bring your vision to life. It's never too late to pursue your vision for 2023. You just need some momentum and the determination to get started. I'm so happy you found this podcast! Please leave a comment or review and let me know how you discovered it.
Now, back to those three goals for the next month. What's your overall vision for the year? Don't worry about what you haven't done yet. With a solid plan, the Lord will amaze you. So focus on what you need to do and keep moving forward. What are three things you can accomplish in the next four weeks to get closer to your vision?
Every week, check off what you've done and keep pushing forward. Time is precious, so don't delay. If you need guidance, my goal setting tracker is a great resource. But honestly, all you need is a piece of paper to jot down your three goals. Think about your 12-month vision and how much time is left in the year. You can even plan the rest of the year if you want. For example, if it's mid-August, break down the time from now until the end of December into four-week increments. What can you do in that time frame to make progress on your vision? And even if you can't complete it, how can you get close enough to have a strong plan for 2024? It's so thrilling to view vision as a 12-month journey in our organization.
Your new year can start today. You don't have to wait until January 1st. If you want to achieve your 2023 vision this year, it's not too late. Whether your vision spans years or just a few weeks, it's up to you. This podcast and my framework revolve around 12-month visions, so get excited! Make sure to check out my goal setting starter kit in the show notes and join us every Monday for a new episode. I can't wait to see you there. Have an amazing day, you visionary!
